East Carolina University Wellness Society: Mental Health Workshop
“I loved making my mission statement. I particularly appreciate it being deconstructed and going step by step. It really made me think about things and not what I “should” put. I also liked being able to openly discuss with everyone and Anne created a really comfortable, open, and relatable environment for everyone.”
“I can tell how much knowledge & credibility Anne has. The way she explained and opened conversations that can be uncomfortable was actually very inspiring and she helped it become more comfortable by helping us realize and understand we aren't alone and that there is always more and better to come. Thank you so much for coming Anne!!”
“Today I gained peace of mind that although life is short, I have the time to enjoy each moment without worrying that I am falling behind. As important as it is to build relationships, I need to be best friends with myself and treat her well 😊"
“I loved the mission statement, specifically the lesson on how it’s the little things that matter. Also, I loved the “can” vs “need” piece!”
“I loved everything about this workshop. It was so positive and everyone is so sweet!”
“The questions were the best. It helps knowing everyone wants to better their mental health”
“I really liked all of the activities. I enjoyed how friendly everyone was and willing to share.” It made me stop and think about the fact that I am not alone. I look forward to the next time.”
“I liked the activity or writing in the little boxes to help formulate a mission statement. I think it’s really difficult to just figure out. What you want to accomplish, how you can accomplish it with the strengths that you have. So I think the activity helped break it down to be able to make a statement.”
“Enjoying things and reminding myself “I get to” while doing things to better myself”
“I enjoyed making mission statements and hearing others be vulnerable speaks volumes to me and being able to be in a group and understand others are also going through similar things”
“I work with a wellness counselor and honestly all of this was so great. I especially loved the “I get to do this”!!”
